Hello HeroClix Community,

Today we would like to clarify exactly how distribution of ROC maps takes place. We also want to share a little bit of exciting news with you.

ROC maps can be acquired in two different ways. First as a prize map (gold bordered) and secondly as a purchasable (purple bordered). Prize maps can be won by playing in ROC events. ROC events include Win-A-Maps, Super Qualifiers, and Regionals. These events are run by venues and come in purchasable ROC Kits. Extra maps can also be purchased by venues outside of the amount provided in each kit when purchasing these kits. Maps in these kits rotate every quarter. When a map rotates out, it then becomes a purchasable map. All purchasable maps can be found at GamerMats: ROC / HeroClix Mats. Maps can sometimes be found also on the ROC site, Luckydicegames.net, and the Lucky Dice Games eBay store.

Each year, players that win the Silver Age World Championship and ROC Cup H4H Team Champions get to design a map. These maps are introduced the following year at the ROC Cup H4H event and then become a quarterly prize map and finally a purchasable map with their designated quarter end.

ROC also hosts States/Provincial Championships each year that include event exclusive maps. These maps will also become purchasable within 6 months of the last scheduled State/Provincial Championship.

Lastly, we have ROC H4H maps. These maps, when purchased, have proceeds go to charity. Currently, they are offered as prizes at the ROC Cup H4H and as a purchasable during the months of June and May each year at Luckydicegames.net.

Gamermats has just updated its website to include all Modern, Silver, and Golden Age maps that we have available. Sailor’s Dream (last quarters prize map) has been added to the website, but it is a little different. Sailor’s Dream (Fall Edition) is available now available for purchase.
